You should clean it up, yes. I use Auran's Trainz Railroad Simulator, and I'm a part of that game's community. Therefore, the intent is to the engine be released as modified for usage in that program, taking advantage of the functionality therein. The base model does not have to be released, just the model optimized for Trainz.
Sounds interesting. So your saying you want it for commerial use? If so i would have to refine the model, fix a few polygons etc and rename alot pf geometry, basically clean it up. Get back to with details on how my model would be used etc commerically? If so i'd have to ask a few more questions.
Good, and thanks for accepting my invitation! Seeing the engine was modeled in a 3DS or equivalent, I wanted to ask you, how would you feel about possibly exporting that engine for use in train simulators, such as Auran Trainz or Kuju Rail Simulator? It's a very nice engine and it would be nice to see it in action! Just a suggestion.
